The prices that foreign visitors pay at the Giza pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, and each change since 27 April 2020. All prices are in Egyptian pounds (EGP).

- The Giza plateau ticket costs EGP 700 for a foreign adult. On 27 April 2020, it cost EGP 200. That is an increase of 250%. In US dollars, the price is the same as then: approximately US$13. The highest dollar price was US$18, on 8 December 2023.
- The ticket to go inside the Great Pyramid costs EGP 1,500 for a foreign adult. On 22 September 2020, it cost EGP 400. That is an increase of 275%. In US dollars, it went from approximately US$25 to US$27. The highest dollar price was US$30, on 1 January 2025.
- The Grand Egyptian Museum ticket went from EGP 1,570 to EGP 1,830 on 1 November 2026. That is an increase of 17%.
- A foreign adult pays EGP 4,030 (approximately US$73) to visit the plateau, go inside the Great Pyramid and visit the museum.

Method and limits
- The prices are for foreign visitors ("Other Nationality"). Egyptian citizens pay less. Arab visitors pay the foreign price at the museum.
- Current prices come from the official booking sites. We read egymonuments.com for Giza on 3 November 2026. We read tickets.gem.eg for the museum on 2 November 2026.
- Older prices come from copies of official pages in the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine), and from news reports that give the date of a change. Each row names its source.
- A copy of a page shows the price on the day of the copy. The price can have changed some days or weeks before. Rows marked "seen on" have this limit.
- We do not show prices that we could not find in a dated source. A gap between two rows does not mean that the price did not change.
- The current US$ values use one rate from currency-api (open daily rates). The Central Bank of Egypt site did not accept our automated request, so we could not use its rate.
- The US$ values in the CSV and in the findings for old prices use the monthly average rate from the Bank for International Settlements for the month of each price. For prices after July 2026, they use the currency-api rate of that day.
- We check the official booking sites each month. The date at the top of this page shows the last check.
