Method and limits

  • We read public pages and posts that give tip amounts for Egypt on 3 November 2026. We found no government or tourism board page that gives tip amounts.
  • We kept an amount only when its unit matched the row, for example per day or per bag. We did not use amounts from before the 2024 fall in the value of the pound.
  • Some sources give US dollars. We changed them to pounds at the rate at the top of this page. The CSV file keeps the original currency.
  • 5 sources are tour companies. They can suggest higher amounts than independent writers. The guide row mixes private guides and group tours.
  • Traveller posts show what one person paid. They are not a survey. A tip is always your choice.
