Things to do in Giza (not only the pyramids)
The main things to do in Giza are the three pyramids, the inside of a pyramid and the Sphinx. Giza also has old tombs, the Panorama viewpoint, the Grand Egyptian Museum and, to the south, the pyramids of Saqqara and Dahshur. Each site has its own official ticket.

On the Giza plateau
One plateau ticket lets you into the area. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities lists what this ticket does not cover. The list includes the inside of the pyramids, the Tomb of Meresankh III and the workers' tombs.
- See the three pyramids. The pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure stand in a line on the plateau. The plateau ticket lets you walk around all three.
- Go inside a pyramid. On 2 November 2026, the official booking page sold extra tickets for the Great Pyramid and the Pyramid of Khafre. It did not sell a ticket for the Pyramid of Menkaure. See Inside the Great Pyramid.
- See the Sphinx. The Sphinx is on the east side of the plateau, next to the Valley Temple of Khafre. With the plateau ticket, you see it from the public area next to it. See Great Sphinx of Giza.
- Go to the Panorama viewpoint. From this point, you see the three pyramids together. A travel blog says that it is too far to walk for some visitors. In 2022, the plateau shuttle bus route had a Panorama station.
- Visit the Tomb of Meresankh III. Meresankh III was the wife of King Khafre. Her rock-cut tomb is next to the Great Pyramid, with painted reliefs on the walls (Wikipedia). It needs an extra ticket.
- See the workers' tombs. These are the mudbrick tombs of the people who built the pyramids. Archaeologists found them in 1990 (Wikipedia). The booking page asks for a minimum of 5 tickets.

- Does the tour stop at shops? Can you refuse these stops?
- What is the total price for your group, in which currency?
